Villa "Bon Rivato” occupies a perfect, peaceful location on Bonaire Village resort. Just one mile from the center of Kralendijk and six minutes’ walk from the sea. The Bonaire Village resort is a gated vacation resort with two electronic access gates. The villa is 135m2 and has a large open-plan living room with a kitchen equipped with wood cupboards, a gas stove, a fridge-freezer and a microwave. There are two spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. All rooms have high ceilings (up to 4.5m high).  The plot is 525m2 with three covered outdoor terraces, an outdoor gas BBQ, two outside showers and a storage space for diving equipment. There is also a partially covered roof terrace where you can sunbathe or sit in the breeze and enjoy the view of the surrounding area. All yard paths are built using natural stone, and the terrace benefits from some good-quality furniture with cushions. The completely walled yard is equipped with an alarm system and is beautifully planted with many palm trees, cactuses and flowering shrubs. Adjacent to the main terrace is a wonderful private swimming pool which, along with the yard, is maintained on a weekly basis. This villa distinguishes itself from other vacation homes in all respects. It features paintings of the Bonairian landscape by the artist owner. Furthermore, the villa is furnished with teak furniture, and a lot of attention has been paid to the quality and convenience of the lighting. There is a broad, up-to-date inventory of books available for your reading pleasure. All rooms have quiet, remote-controllable ceiling fans and both bedrooms have air conditioning. Guests are also able to make use of the washing machine. The covered terrace, adjacent to the living room and swimming pool, is now fully equipped with mosquito screens and sliding door screens, so you can enjoy the outdoors mosquito-free.

Bonaire Village offers a wide choice of apartments and villas. All vacation homes are in Kralendijk, the well-known main town of Bonaire. Bonaire Village is within walking distance of the promenade with bars, shops, and restaurants (200-300 meters). In the area, you'll also find a supermarket, car and scooter rental, bike rental, banks with ATMs, souvenir shops, and various diving shops and schools. The closest beach is approximately 400-500 meters from the resort.

Waar paradijs op Bonaire

4 April 2019 | Marielle (NL)

Heerlijke bedden.

We zaten in villa Bon Rivato. Een fantastische villa die van alle gemakken voorzien is. Keuken met alles er op en er aan, je eigen zwembad en dat alles in het heerlijk rustig gelegen Courtyard Village. Mooi onderhouden tuin rondom de villa.

Wonderful retreat

9 January 2019 | Peter Bodonyi PB (Cleveland OH USA) (NL)

The property is as advertised. Stayed 8 nights. Located in a private gated community less than a minute drive off main road (Bulevard Gob. N. Debrot). 1 minute from Harbor Village Marina / dive shops and 3 minutes from downtown Kralendijk. Home is well appointed with high quality tables / chairs (teak) artwork and kitchen amenities. Nice swimming pool for a quick cool down. Bedrooms have efficient air conditioning; remainder of house is well ventilated with screened louver windows and high speed quite fans. Of all the properties inside Courtyard Village; this property has the best manicured grounds with a gardener who stopped by 2x week to maintain. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again; however no property is perfect and there were a few short comings. We felt that the mattresses and pillows were uncomfortable and extra bedding was lacking. It would have been nice to have beach towels and a quality ice chest (cooler) available (even if a deposit was required) for day trips to Slagbaai and Lac Cai. Other than that, hard to find anything to complain about. Also, the caretaker Diannne was a pleasure to deal with as well. This was our 6th trip to Bonaire albeit it has been 20 years since our last visit. The island has changed quite a bit both for the better and for the worse. Reefs aren't what they once were, but still enjoyable. The island isn't as sleepy as it once was...but at least now you can find basic to gourmet dining options now....even after 9pm which wasn't the case years ago. Bonaire will always be special to us. STINAPA / government is doing their best to manage holding on to ecological preservation against expected economic growth. We hope that they continue to manage the parks and those pristine places are becoming less and less common.

Thank you for your response, the pillows have been replaced and toppers are now available for the beds.

Perfecte locatie

Map & surrounding area

Kralendijk is the capital of the Dutch island of Bonaire, which until 2010 was part of the Netherlands Antilles.

With 18.500 inhabitants  it also was the largest town on the island. The name is derived from the coral reef present there and has been used since about 1840. The locals call the city also Playa, meaning beach.

It is a small, quiet town with lots of pastel-coloured buildings. The center of the city consists of a boulevard (Kaya Craane) and a shopping street (Kaya Grandi). In front off the promenade are yachts visiting Bonaire anchor. Fort Orange is situated on the south side and built in the 17th century. It was built in defence of Bonaire. On the north side of the fort is the old (yellow) governor's house, were now the island council is located, and were the customs has their office. The city also features a marina and a football stadium. There is a romance pavilion used as a fruit market.
